Agnes Beauty and Wellness

Meet Agnes Grumslys — Licensed Cosmetologist & Clinical Bio-Wellness Specialist, Huntington Beach

“Beauty begins the moment you reconnect with yourself.”

Agnes Grumslys didn’t just find her calling. She earned it.

From Lithuania, With Resilience

Agnes was born and raised in Lithuania. She grew up surrounded by forests, lakes, and a deep appreciation for the simple, intentional way of life that Baltic culture cultivates. From the beginning, her values were shaped by family, nature, and community. Those values — connection, care, and presence — still guide every session she offers today.

But her early years also held something harder. From first grade until the day she left Lithuania, Agnes was bullied. For nine years, she struggled with feeling different. She struggled with confidence. She struggled with fitting in. Those years left a mark. They also, eventually, became the source of everything she does.

“Because of that, I never imagined I would end up in an industry centered around beauty,” she has said. “But life has a funny way of leading you where you’re meant to be.”

A New Life, A New Direction

In 2003, Agnes arrived in California as a teenager with her family. Everything was different — the language, the culture, the schools, even the way people spoke to each other. The first year was hard. She missed home. She missed familiarity. She also discovered something unexpected: resilience she didn’t know she had.

Her name is part of that story too. Agne — her Lithuanian name — means pure. In America, she goes by Agnes to make pronunciation easier. But Agne remains. “My name reminds me of my roots, my family, and the journey that brought me here,” she says. She kept her accent too.

How Beauty Found Her

In high school, Agnes enrolled in an ROP cosmetology program. It wasn’t a grand plan. Her mother’s best friend was an esthetician and mentioned the program. Agnes was curious. What she found inside that classroom surprised her.

It wasn’t about appearance. It was about transformation. It was about helping someone feel confident, cared for, and seen. For someone who had spent years feeling invisible, that realization was profound. The work felt less like a career path and more like a purpose.

She earned her cosmetology license through Career Beauty Academy. She worked briefly as a hairstylist. Something, however, felt incomplete. Hair wasn’t where her passion lived. Skin was. Healing was. Understanding the body on a deeper level was. Once she found that focus, she never looked back.

She also spent time in the corporate world. It offered stability. It didn’t offer joy. “Every time I thought about what truly excited me, it was aesthetics and wellness,” she says. “Life is too short not to pursue what genuinely lights you up.”

The Place That Was Always Meant to Be Hers

In 2012, Agnes opened Agnes Beauty & Wellness inside Old World Village in Huntington Beach. The location was not chosen at random. Old World Village is where her mother — who arrived in America with zero English — met Agnes’s stepfather. Their love story began in that European-style courtyard. Agnes calls it a perfect example of something she believes deeply: “Love needs no language.”

For Agnes, Old World Village was already home before it was a business address. “It’s not a typical spa setting, and I actually love that about it,” she says. “It allows clients to slow down the moment they arrive — almost like stepping into a different world.”

Day one was exciting and terrifying in equal measure. There was no waiting room full of clients. There was a vision, a work ethic, and a belief that consistency would build something real. What kept her going in those early years was simple: the relationships. Every client who trusted her. Every referral. Every small win. “I knew trust takes time to build. I focused on serving people well.”

Eventually, she became a mother. That changed everything too. “I wasn’t just building a career anymore,” she says. “I was building a legacy.”

A Training Journey Across Four Continents

What distinguishes Agnes from other skilled estheticians is not any single credential. Rather, it is the relentless pursuit of the best teachers in each technique she offers. It is also the refusal to stop learning.

Her foundation is California Cosmetologist License #A330955, issued by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. This government-issued credential is publicly verifiable at search.dca.ca.gov. It anchors everything she does.

For facial sculpting, Agnes trained in Advanced Buccal Intraoral Face Lifting at the International Aesthetic Sculpture Face Lifting Massage School under Yakov Gershkovich. She was drawn to buccal massage for a specific reason. “It works from inside and outside the face simultaneously,” she explains. “It combines anatomy, artistry, and natural rejuvenation.” She also returned to her homeland of Lithuania to study Kobido Japanese Facial Artistry at Spa Pasaulis under master instructor Vida Jankuniene. That trip meant something beyond the certification. “It felt like coming full circle,” she says. “It connected my past and present in a way I didn’t expect.” Additionally, her Hadado Face Sculpting and Buccal Massage certification came through Academia SPA-Tomasik.

Body & Wellness Training

For the body, Agnes holds Brazilian Body Lymphatic Sculpting certification through The Detox program by Rebecca Faria. The Brazilian approach appealed to her because it is dynamic and results-oriented. Clients feel and see the difference immediately. Her DMK Enzyme Therapy training came directly from Chelsea, DMK’s own Senior Account Manager and Educator. Furthermore, Agnes earned the LinfoModellante® Method certification in advanced Italian lymphatic sculpting under Manuela Shala, trained in Italy and Los Angeles. She chose this method because it supports the body’s natural processes rather than working against them. Her holistic wellness practice also draws on the Usui System of Natural Healing, completed under Mukunda Narayan Singh. For Agnes, skincare and energy healing are not separate disciplines. “We are physical beings, emotional beings, and energetic beings,” she says. “True wellness happens when we support all of those layers together.”

In addition, Agnes holds a BA in Communications with a minor in Public Relations. This background shapes how she listens to her clients. It also informs the lasting relationships that define her practice.

Thirteen years. Seven certifications. Four continents of training lineage. One studio in Huntington Beach.

What Agnes Actually Does

Ask Agnes to describe her work in plain English and she doesn’t hesitate. “I help people feel better in their bodies, reconnect with themselves, and look like the healthiest version of who they already are.”

Agnes calls her studio a Clinical Bio-Wellness Studio. It is where clinical aesthetics and holistic wellness come together. One practitioner — deeply certified in both — practices them side by side.

On the clinical side, Agnes offers DMK Enzyme Therapy — a cellular skin revision protocol that rebuilds healthy skin function from within. She also provides Advanced Buccal Intraoral Face Lifting, Hadado, and Kobido facial massage. These are three distinct traditions of structural facial work. They lift, contour, and restore without a single injection. The Lymphatic Drainage menu draws on three separate training lineages: LinfoModellante® Italian method, Brazilian body lymphatic sculpting, and manual lymphatic technique. Together, these cover both facial sculpting and full-body drainage. They also include post-operative care for clients recovering from BBL, liposuction, tummy tuck, and mommy makeover procedures. Agnes does not take that responsibility lightly. “These clients are often vulnerable, uncomfortable, and emotionally exhausted,” she says. “Being able to support their healing is something I never take lightly.”

Body Sculpting & Wellness

For body sculpting, the studio offers the 360° Brazilian Body Sculpt, Organic Body Ice Sculpting, Non-Invasive Brazilian Butt Lift through vacuum therapy, and Roll Shapers lymphatic drainage. Meanwhile, the wellness services — infrared sauna, sound bath therapy, ionic foot bath, infrared light therapy, and cupping — are not afterthoughts. Agnes views these as essential. She believes the body and its energy are inseparable.

Her philosophy centers on a phrase she returns to often: “You have to flow before you glow.” Before visible results arrive, the body’s systems must first be supported. That is the work Agnes does.

She knows what a perfect session feels like. “When a client leaves lighter than when they arrived — physically, emotionally, or both.”

The Values That Guide Her

Agnes has defined five core values. They guide how she practices and shape every client interaction.

Accountability — Your needs are her highest priority. Every session, recommendation, and follow-up reflects that.

Empathy — Consultations are a judgment-free zone. “Clients can come exactly as they are,” she says. “My goal is to support them, not judge them.”

Ethical — Every treatment plan is custom-designed. Agnes uses only the most effective and appropriate protocols — never pushed, never oversold.

Giving — Agnes believes in community. She has hosted local events celebrating fellow female entrepreneurs. She has also collaborated with nutritionists, fitness trainers, and wellness experts.

Service — The five-star experience her clients describe across nearly 80 consecutive five-star Google reviews is no accident. It is a daily commitment.

What motivates all of it? “I became an esthetician because I discovered that helping people feel confident, healthy, and cared for brings me genuine joy. I truly love what I do.”

Who Agnes Is Beyond the Studio

Agnes is an ambivert — calm and reflective by nature, but also deeply driven and business-minded. She recharges through time with family, movement in nature, personal development, and quiet reflection. She also takes Latin dance lessons, which her clients would probably be surprised to know. “Despite being in the beauty industry, what interests me most is human connection,” she says. “The treatments are important. But the relationships are what stay with me.”

Her parents remain her greatest supporters. Her mother arrived in America with zero English and found love at Old World Village. Her stepfather was the man she met there. Together, they model something Agnes carries into her own work every day: resilience, integrity, and the belief that showing up consistently is what builds something lasting.

Agnes speaks both English and Lithuanian. She maintains a strong connection to her heritage — the appreciation for nature, the simplicity, the intentional pace of life that Lithuania instilled in her. “I still carry those values into both my personal life and my work,” she says.

Recognized, Trusted, and Growing

VoyageLA, CanvasRebel, BoldJourney, and Vakarų Vėjai have all featured Agnes and her practice. Vakarų Vėjai is the Lithuanian-American media publication of the Consulate General of Lithuania in Los Angeles. It has recognized Agnes as a leader in her community. The practice holds an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, accredited since 2022. It has also maintained a perfect five-star rating across all Google reviews since opening.

Agnes serves clients across coastal Orange County — Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Irvine, Seal Beach, and Costa Mesa. She also offers select mobile services for clients who prefer treatment at home. She warmly welcomes clients from the Lithuanian-American community throughout Southern California.

What Comes Next

Agnes is currently developing Wellness Escape — a new expansion space adjacent to Agnes Beauty & Wellness. It will serve as a dedicated sanctuary for wellness events, workshops, private gatherings, healing experiences, and creative sessions. Beyond that, she envisions Agnes Beauty & Wellness becoming a global wellness brand. She hopes to educate practitioners, host transformative retreats, and create spaces where people can reconnect with themselves.

“Agnes Beauty & Wellness exists because the world needs more spaces where healing, beauty, education, and genuine human connection come together.”

In twenty years, she does not want to be remembered for her technique or her services. She wants to be remembered for something simpler. “I want people to remember how they felt in my presence. Seen. Cared for. Valued.”
