What Happens During Your DMK Appointment?

Every DMK appointment is customized to your skin’s condition, treatment history and goals. Although the exact products and protocol may vary, your visit generally includes the following steps:

1. Consultation and Skin Assessment

Agnes begins by discussing your concerns, current skincare routine, medications, recent procedures and desired results. She then evaluates your skin to determine whether DMK is appropriate and which protocol should be used.

2. Cleansing and Skin Preparation

Your skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove makeup, oil and surface impurities. Specialized preparatory products may then be selected according to your skin’s needs.

3. Customized Serums and Products

Before the enzyme masque is applied, Agnes selects professional products based on the concerns being addressed, such as congestion, uneven texture, pigmentation, dullness or visible signs of aging.

4. Enzyme Masque Application

The DMK enzyme masque is applied across the face and may extend to the neck and décolletage. As it sets, the masque becomes increasingly firm and remains in place for approximately 45 minutes. You may notice tightening, pulsing or pressure as the treatment progresses.

5. Masque Removal and Finishing Products

The hardened masque is carefully softened and removed. Temporary pink or reddish capillary lines—known as the Plasmatic Effect—may be visible afterward, although their appearance varies between clients. Agnes then applies appropriate finishing and protective products.

6. Personalized Aftercare

Before you leave, Agnes explains what to expect after your treatment and recommends an appropriate home-care routine. You may be advised to temporarily avoid strong active ingredients, excessive heat, strenuous exercise and direct sun exposure.

Your first appointment may take longer because it includes a more detailed consultation and skin assessment. Agnes will explain the expected appointment length when your treatment is scheduled.

What Is the DMK Plasmatic Effect?

After the enzyme masque is removed, temporary pink or reddish capillary lines may appear across the treated area. DMK refers to this visible response as the Plasmatic Effect.

Is DMK Enzyme Therapy Right for You?

Every new DMK client begins with a consultation. Agnes will evaluate your skin, discuss your concerns and goals, and review factors that could affect treatment suitability. This assessment helps her determine whether DMK Enzyme Therapy is the appropriate starting point and which protocol your skin may be ready to receive.

DMK may need to be modified, postponed or replaced with a gentler treatment if you currently have:

• Open wounds, active skin infections or significant irritation

• A severely compromised or highly reactive skin barrier

• An active flare of a skin condition

• Recent sunburn or excessive sun exposure

• A recent peel, laser treatment, microneedling session or other intensive skin procedure

• Current or recent isotretinoin use

• Known allergies or sensitivities to treatment ingredients

DMK Muscle Banding is not automatically appropriate for every client who has completed Level 1. Agnes recommends progression to Level 2 only after evaluating how your skin responded to the foundational treatment.

For clients concerned about dullness, uneven texture, fine lines or loss of firmness, DMK can be used as part of an ongoing skin-revision plan. The treatment is intended to support a brighter, firmer and more refreshed appearance without injections.

The number and frequency of appointments depend on the client’s skin, goals and response to treatment. Agnes may recommend foundational Level 1 Enzyme Therapy or, when the skin is appropriately prepared, Level 2 Muscle Banding.

It is commonly incorporated into a longer-term skin-revision program, while BioRePeel may be selected when controlled chemical exfoliation is the more appropriate approach.

DMK vs. Botox and Dermal Fillers
