Referring a patient does not need to create additional administrative work for your office.

1. Surgeon Determines Appropriateness

Your surgical team determines when manual lymphatic drainage is appropriate and provides any necessary postoperative restrictions or instructions.

2. Patient Contacts Agnes

The patient contacts Agnes Beauty & Wellness directly to arrange an appointment.

Please encourage the patient to disclose the procedure performed, surgery date, surgeon's name, and any postoperative instructions relevant to treatment.

3. Treatment Follows Your Protocol

Agnes performs manual lymphatic drainage according to the patient's recovery stage and any instructions or restrictions provided by the surgical team.

4. Medical Concerns Return to Your Office

Manual lymphatic drainage is supportive care and is not a substitute for postoperative medical evaluation.

Any concern requiring medical assessment is referred back to the patient's surgeon or appropriate medical provider.

Hi Agnes, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today.

The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc.

Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?


It’s how I thrive. I am best when I work alone ,I don’t do well with too many people In a fast paste environment. My career matches my personality. It’s peaceful, calm, work at my own paste with what I know best and I love beauty industry and to care for others, I am a nurturer.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’ve always believed in providing whole-body wellness and helping clients get to the root of their skincare issues so they can look and feel their best. Agnes Beauty & Wellness aims to empower our clients by incorporating a whole-body integrative approach for implementing a healthier lifestyle through schedule-friendly custom-curated skin health programs.

My spa is equipped with a facial room, in which I provide a wide range of custom facial treatments, as well as a body treatment room which includes an infrared sauna and roller shapers, aiding in detoxification and delivering a host of benefits for my clients.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Passion: I’ve always been passionate about the beauty and wellness space and have been fortunate to make a career of it. I care deeply about educating my clients and guiding them through their skincare and wellness journey. Work Ethic: I have poured my heart and soul into my business, growing it from the ground up. There have been many sleepless nights along the way, but I’ve always pushed myself harder to achieve my goals and create a business that I can be proud of.

Authenticity: I realized early on that my values didn’t align with many typical spas, that often train employees to upsell services and sell products, regardless of whether they will help the client achieve their skincare goals. I decided to do things my way and focus on educating clients and offering custom-curated services and products that will deliver real results for them. Being true to myself and my values has paid off – my clients know that I always have their best interest at heart.

My advice for to people who are thinking about starting their own business is to ensure they have these three things before embarking on this journey, because it’s hard to succeed without them. You must be passionate about what you do because there will be long hours and plenty of challenges along the way.

This is why it’s also critical to have a strong work ethic – no one else will hold you accountable so you have to push yourself. And finally, remember that there’s only one of you, so be yourself and demonstrate what you bring to the table. That authenticity can help set you apart from the competition.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes, I love collaborating with like-minded individuals. I believe in giving back to the community and helping to empower small business owners. I have had the pleasure of working with other woman-owned businesses and have even hosted community events that highlight some of their services and talents. 

I recently held an event at my spa that showcased several female entrepreneurs and treated my clients to 5-star treatments, samples, and giveaways. Previous collaborators have included other skincare providers, nutritionists, fitness trainers, and health & wellness experts.
